So, you purchased a new computer and want to move Tube Toolbox to the new computer. The instructions depend on whether you have already downloaded and installed Tube Toolbox on the new computer or not.
If you have NOT downloaded and installed Tube Toolbox on the new computer
Here's what you will need to do (in this order).
- On your old computer, locate your log file (TubeToolboxData.sdf). Click on the link shown below on the Tube Toolbox log in page and the location of your log file will be displayed.
- Download and install Tube Toolbox on your new computer.
- Log into Tube Toolbox on your new computer.
- Log out of Tube Toolbox on your old and new computer.
- Locate your log file (TubeToolboxData.sdf) on your new computer using the same steps as in #1 (make sure you're on your new computer).
- Copy TubeToolboxData.sdf file from your old computer to your new computer (replacing the file on your new computer).
- Log into new computer and verify everything looks okay.
If you have already downloaded and installed Tube Toolbox on the new computer
Tube Toolbox maintains your lists, messages, sending history, etc. in a single database file on your computer. If you want to copy all of your data between computers, you simply need to copy this one file back and forth. The location of that file depends on what version of Windows you are running.
Windows XP
> C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sincell\Tube Toolbox\TubeToolboxData.sdf
Windows 7/Vista 64-Bit
> C:\ProgramData\Sincell\Tube Toolbox\TubeToolboxData.sdf
Note: "C:\ProgramData" is a hidden folder on your computer, so you need to manually type it in, or just paste this into Windows Explorer: C:\ProgramData\Sincell\Tube Toolbox\
ProgramData is NOT the same folder as Program Files.
